Lymphatic System, Lymph

The lymphatic system is an important part of the human body that is involved in the removal of redundant substances created by cell metabolism and the removal of redundant white blood cells - lymphocytes, parts of bacteria, and viruses. The word "lymph" is of Greek origin and means pure spring water. The lymphatic system is part of the immune system and consists of lymphatic nodes, lymphatic vessels, and lymph. If the function of the lymphatic system is impaired, harmful substances accumulate in the body leading to the weakening of the immune system. More than 80% of the lymphatic system is situated in the skin and subcutaneous tissue. A network of lymphatic vessels and nodes empties into the venous system. The flow of lymph in lymphatic vessels is unidirectional and independent of blood circulation. Its unidirectional movement is enabled by the contraction of muscles and surrounding tissue, i.e. during movement. Insufficient exercise, uneven load of individual muscle groups, and reduction of muscle mass are main causes leading to impairment of lymphatic system function with subsequent accumulation of toxins in the body.

How LPG Works

The LPG technique is intended for the treatment of pathologic changes in connective tissue. It is the only technique which can release the fat under the upper level of the skin which cannot be removed through exercise, diet, or with liposuction.

A motorized massage head incorporates special rollers which stimulate the skin. The first roller creates a skin fold with a vacuum wave; the second roller flattens the fold back to its original position. The machine is equipped with a treatment monitoring function that allows the monitoring of the strength of the intervention, and enables the therapist to respect the client's feelings. Gentle squeezing, sucking and rolling on the skin with Cellu M6 Keymodule stimulates the venous and lymphatic system and releases the toxins. Fibres are stimulated, the production of collagen and elastin is restored, and the complexion looks younger and healthier. Moreover, the treatment smoothes the skin surface, the skin is finer, and orange peel skin disappears.

LPG - History

LPG Endermologie is a very effective method for the treatment of various skin problems. The technique was discovered by motor racer Louis Paul Guitay who had a serious car accident. He underwent intensive massage therapies which to a great extent contributed to his recovery. Based on his personal experience with individual types of massages, he designed a machine which replaced the skilful hands of physiotherapists. He named the machine using his initials: LPG.
